The process is designed to accommodate international arrivals with ease, offering flexible check-in times that can adjust based on flight schedules. Early check-ins or late check-outs can be requested, subject to room availability.
Checkin: from 14:00 until 22:00. Contact us before hand in case you arrive outside of these times.
Check-out: before 11:00 feel free to have a shower and stick around in the surfcamp until you are ready to depart
Most places have internet coverage (4g). Stable and quick enough to do video calls. Upload speeds can be a bit lower, so if you have to upload heavy files > 1gb. It is best to work from a co-working space.
Our resorts have fiber and will allow you to work remote without interuption.

At Marshmellow villa in Sri Lanka, we accept both cash in local currency and cards. Any remaining balance will be settled in the local currency. We do not exchange nor accept international currencies.
For your convenience, it's recommended to carry both cards and cash during your trip. You can carry up to $10,000 in cash, comprising various currencies.
Cards:
They offer convenience and security, particularly in retail chains and supermarkets. Most establishments levy a 3% fee for card transactions
Local Currency:
LKR (Sri Lankan Rupees) is the local currency, exchangeable into major currencies (USD, EUR) upon your return.
Currency Exchange Options:
Airport Exchange: Available at the airport, albeit with around a 5% fee.
ATMs: A safer option if you prefer not to carry large sums of cash, despite the approximate 5% fee. Each withdrawal allows up to 100.000 LKR (please check your bank's additional charges).
SCOOTER & BUS
The easiest modes of transportation are scooters and buses. Sri Lanka offers a reliable network of air-conditioned and local buses running any time of the day, despite some areas experiencing chaotic and unsafe traffic conditions. Transportation apps are not available, so we advise arranging transfers with us beforehand. Our airport transfers to the camp are thoughtfully organized to match your flight schedule, and we include a scooter for your entire stay at Marshmellow in the fare.
Dinner and Personal Travel Insurance
The optimal time for surfing is from November to May when the waves are most favorable. This period also coincides with the dry season, providing sunny days and pleasant weather.
The camp facilitates smooth transitions from the airport to the accommodation with pre-arranged transfers, which can be customized according to flight timings and guest preferences.
Most tourists can benefit from the visa-on-arrival facility, making it convenient to enter the country. However, it's essential to verify current visa policies before travel.
The camp is equipped with dedicated areas for working, featuring ergonomic setups that cater to digital nomads and those needing to maintain work commitments while enjoying their surf stay.
Guests are advised to obtain comprehensive travel health insurance. The camp is located near well-equipped medical facilities for emergency healthcare needs.
